Subject: Advancing the Agency
Building Construction
This month's edition of updates will include agency building construction, agency research, music, and additional sounds. We've previously talked about enhanced lighting, how details can be added to buildings through it, building selection and information, agent's entering and exiting buildings, and more. Today, we will be talking about utilizing buildings to enhance your agency.
Every time you start a new save, your agency will probably start with nothing. If scenarios are added, you may play specific settings with prebuilt buildings but for the most part you will be creating your agency from nothing. Thus, constructing buildings and where you construct said buildings will be a large priority in the beginning of the game.
One important factor to take into account is that agents take time to travel to locations. This can mean that constructing buildings further away from each other can increase your administrative costs over time, whether those costs are a monetary amount, period of time, or strategic cost.
Agency Construction UI
In the coming months more information and utility will be added the construction UI such as building statistics, benefits/costs, tooltips, and other vital information that may be needed.
Researching Technologies
In a month or two, core functionality of researching technology should be implemented. With new tech comes new responsibilities. Being the ultimate decision maker for the agency means that you must decide what to prioritize and technology is but one piece of the puzzle. Certain technologies, just as in life, will give different advantages and disadvantages. As for the granularity of the modifiers, it is still to be found.

A few new additions have been added to our growing musical samples. Today you will get the first taste of what is being worked on. Nothing special yet but the samples we have give a little bit of insight into where we're heading. Some jazz, some somber piano, and more!

Additional Sounds
The UI is getting its fair share of love. Some clicks and clacks are being added to a variety of buttons and other elements. If you're interested then feel free to play the samples below. Some are in use while others may be sitting in storage since we're looking into releasing a large collection towards launch. Many others have helped our journey and we'd like to do the same for others.
Unfortunately, the microphone we're currently using has an unnecessary amount of feedback. It hasn't been tuned, nor is it known if the microphone can be tuned, but we may be able to lessen the feedback/reverb with after effects. Something to be looked into in the future.
